Mission Statement

St. Vincent Pallotti School fundamentally believes that everyone has a right to education and therefore caters to the educational needs of those who come to us. We submit to the fact that every child is a child of God created for a specific purpose. Our Mission is to develop our students with active and creative minds, a sense of understanding and compassion for others and with a courage to act on their beliefs. We stress on the holistic development of each child: spiritual, moral, intellectual, social, emotional and physical. We strive to maintain an active partnership involving students, teachers, parents, community and staff, to develop a love of learning in our students so as to achieve their greatest potential and to adapt to a diverse and ever-changing society.
Our goal is to lead every child from darkness of ignorance and uncivility to wisdom and civility through the three pillars of our institution, namely Good Character, Sound Discipline and Strong Work Ethic with the ultimate aim of making them independent thinkers, noble human beings and responsible universal citizens.

THE THREE PILLARS OF THE INSTITUTION

At Pallotti we truly believe in an holistic approach to education. Consequently, the foundation of education in this institution is based on the three pillars, as we call them, namely good character, sound discipline and strong work ethic.

Good Character : Having a good character means, having admirable traits such as honesty, responsibility, reliability, courage, being considerate of others and conscientious in one’s work. At Pallotti we insist on good speech and good language. Stringent measures are in place so that children maintain healthy relationship with one another. Quarrelling in any form in the classroom or on the playground is discouraged, rather sensitivity, team-spirit and a self-sacrificing attitude is religiously cultivated among individuals. Each child is special and to be treated as such. Children are taught to believe that values, words and achievements go hand in hand, as they are the foundation of any lasting success.

Sound Discipline: Our children must be noted for good discipline. Positive discipline in the class room involves developing mutual respect, cooperation and responsibility. Instant obedience is the institutional culture. They are taught to disagree politely and respectfully. Discipline, in their body posture and in the manner they conduct themselves in the classroom, in the corridors or on the grounds, is insisted upon. They are encouraged to believe that it is good to be competitive but great to be gracious in defeat and that any rivalry on the playground should always be healthy. Our focus is in teaching them to do the right thing even when no one is looking for then they are truly disciplined.

Strong Work Ethic : Our children are taught to believe that successful people generally have one thing in common – they work harder than anyonelse. A positive attitude coupled with good team-spirit is required in order to be effective: They are made to focus on good study habits, increasing their academic knowledge, maintaining good personal relationship with peers for mutual benefit, to love what they do, always to work hard and efficiently, giving their hundred percent in whatever they attempt, be it academics, co-curricular or sport; never to do anything in a haphazard manner. It might be a simple activity – reading, doing a puzzle, or keeping the classroom clean. Through such acts, they are made aware of the importance of hard work efficiently done. They learn the value of struggle and pain and also face challenges upfront and come out victorious.
